Head, Neck & Special Senses · two-player · pick a round

Seven rounds. 416 questions.

Every Bell Ringer plays the same way: stations alternate between players, a miss opens a steal for the other player, and each answer is followed by the explanation and a high-yield pearl. Rounds I, III and VI carry the lab specimen photos; the rest are text only.

Bell Ringer

27 Q
Round I · image stations

The original round, built straight from the in-house material.

  • Lab Quizzes 1–3, each station with its photo
  • Step 1 practice vignettes from the lecture questions
  • Neck, face & scalp, infratemporal fossa, cranial cavity
Start Round I

Bell Ringer II

51 Q
Round II · distractor clean-up

Same concepts as Round I, asked a different way — and the structures that were wrong answers there are the right answers here.

  • Cervical skin nerves, strap muscles, facial nerve branches
  • All four parasympathetic ganglia
  • Eyelid muscles, the H-test, the corneal reflex
Start Round II

Bell Ringer III

58 Q
Round III · 35 image stations

The in-house question set, gathered in one place.

  • Foundational Rounds and both formative quizzes
  • Lab Quiz 4 (orbit), with its photos
  • 30 practical practice stations
Start Round III

Bell Ringer IV

60 Q
Round IV · concept sweep

The concepts behind the practical questions, plus the correct versions of their wrong answers.

  • Foramina, skull & vessels · muscles & motor supply
  • Ganglia, glands & reflexes
  • Orbit & eye · larynx, pharynx & nose
Start Round IV

Bell Ringer V

60 Q
Round V · exam forecast

Weighted the way the exam blueprint is — written themes and the structures predicted to be tagged.

  • Ganglia and parasympathetic pathways
  • The vagus in the larynx · foramina · the orbit
  • Second-order questions hung on tagged structures
Start Round V

Bell Ringer VI

80 Q
Round VI · second exam blueprint

Built from another exam blueprint — the structures and topics it weights differently from the first.

  • Five structures the earlier blueprint ruled out
  • Twelve topics it leaves out entirely
  • Lab Quizzes 5 and 6, every answer verified
  • Relationships and reflexes asked as second-order questions
Start Round VI

Bell Ringer VII

80 Q
Round VII · GA cranial nerve review

Complete coverage of the GA cranial nerve review — both cases, every nerve, every branch, every palsy pattern.

  • Cavernous sinus syndrome · CN III, IV and VI palsies
  • Trigeminal divisions and their branches
  • The facial nerve branch by branch · CN IX–XII
  • Cervical plexus, ansa and phrenic
Start Round VII

Alternate turns

Stations alternate. Correct on your own station scores 100, plus a speed bonus.

Steal

A miss hands your opponent one shot with the wrong pick crossed out.

Buzzer race

Or switch modes: both read, first to buzz answers (Q and P).

Review

Every answer shows why, why not, and a pearl; misses land on a review list.

Suggested orderRun III first — it is the in-house material itself. Then I for the lab photos, IV for the concepts underneath them, II to clean up the distractors. VII when you want the cranial nerves cold, VI for the lab quizzes and the second blueprint, and V last as a forecast-weighted dress rehearsal.
